We love visiting San Diego County, and it was awesome to return for our 3rd annual contest at the Transworld Skateboarding Park! We had our Student and Non-student Divisions, so everyone got a piece of the contest action. Many familiar faces came through with the stoke, and the crowd was in for a great day!
Full disclosure here: We did not know that there was a College Skateboard Contest series. With that being said though, we are pretty stoked about it because it helps to fight the stereotype given to skateboarders that they can’t be both hardcore and educated at the same time. We will for sure be following this series as it moves on.

In part 1 of ‘Skaters In Cars Looking At Spots,’ Chris Nieratko visits legendary skateboarder Tony Hawk at his private training warehouse, then visits the Fallbrook house Hawk lived in over twenty years ago.
Take a trip down memory lane with Tony Hawk as he talks about the rise and fall of his childhood ramps in the yard where he grew up. This is a great video with some personal information about a childhood hero of many action sports athletes regardless of our sport.
